Telangana’s Rahul Srivatshav has been named India’s 74th Grandmaster.

During the 9th Cattolica Chess Festival 2022 in Italy! Rahul Srivatshav P of Telangana became India’s 74th Grandmaster, breaking the 2500 (Elo points) barrier in live FIDE ratings. and  After drawing his 8th round game against Grandmaster Levan Pantsulaia at the Cattolica event, the 19-year-old player hit the 2500 Elo live rating mark.

so, His Elo rating is at 2468.

When Srivatshav crossed the rating threshold of 2500 on Friday, he had already earned five GM standards and the title.

But a player must achieve three GM norms and a live rating of 2500 Elo points to become a GM.
