Before the Indian women’s cricket team’s match against Australia at the CWG 2022, Virat Kohli wishes them luck.
The opening match of the Commonwealth Games will be played at Edgbaston on Friday between the Indian women’s cricket team and Australia.
The Indian women’s cricket team will play their debut game against Australia at the Commonwealth Games on Friday in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The Indian team will compete in Group A alongside Barbados, Australia, and Pakistan. Before their play against Australia, Virat Kohli wished the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side well for the entire game.

The Indian women’s cricket team and all of our athletes playing at the Commonwealth Games have my best wishes, Kohli tweeted.
The Indian cricket squad received well wishes from batsman and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant for the Commonwealth Games.
Wishing @BCCIWomen and all our athletes the best for the CWG, rooting for each and every one of you. Jai Hind. ??

“I’m pulling for all of our athletes, @BCCIWomen, and all of you at the CWG. “Jai Hind,” tweeted Pant.
The day before the contest, captain Harmanpreet Kaur spoke with the media virtually about the team’s preparation.
Harmanpreet responded to a query of playing Australia at a virtual press conference on Thursday by saying. “I believe we have consistently performed better everytime we have had the opportunity to play against them” (Australia). Things are looking really good right now, so we’ll attempt to do our best.
The difficulty that Australia has was then addressed by Harmanpreet. “See, each team is important to us. Winning every game is essential while taking part in a tournament like this. The first game is typically the most important since you need to gauge the team’s mindset. The goal is to concentrate on winning each game separately because all teams have plans in place.
When talking about sleeping in the Games Village, the Indian skipper said, “The lodgings in the village are different from those at past games. Though we are enjoying ourselves immensely, you must constantly carry your card since without it nobody will be able to recognize you. We are becoming accustomed to these circumstances, but because we have a morning game the following day, we are still debating attending the opening ceremony. If everything goes as planned, we’ll definitely be at the opening ceremony.
